Our Yoga Classes
Our yoga classes flow from one posture to the next, allowing you to work with your breath as you explore postures and slowly broaden your practice. We slowly build from warm up to a flowing series of major asana, through to restorative yoga and breath work. As the class comes to a close, you are guided through either meditation, visualisation or relaxation techniques, creating stillness of mind and the ultimate in restorative you time.
For all the yoga classes, wear comfortable clothing that’s easy to move in. If you’d like to, please bring a blanket and/or cushion for the last part of the class when we lie at rest. Please bring a yoga mat. If you’d like to have water during the class, please make sure it has a secure lid to avoid any spillage. We practice in bare feet, but you may like to wear socks for the last part of class, when we get under our blankets (lying in Savasana), so that you can stay warm and cosy. I look forward to welcoming you to a class soon.
In our classes, you’ll find a friendly, supportive group of people, all happy to help and support you with humour and kindness.
We like to go for tea/coffee after the Thursday class, and you’d be very welcome to join us, if you’d like to. You’re also welcome to stay online for a chat after the Monday class.

The practices of yoga help to bring us to the present moment.
Yoga is said to have many benefits. These include helping to relieve stress, and increasing physical and mental strength. It also improves flexibility and maintains balance. As a result of this, we are able to increase awareness of ourselves and improve our wellbeing.
In addition to the physical poses (asana), we also explore pranayama (expansion of the breath), nidra, relaxation, meditation, and other yoga practices. We unite mind, body, and breath as we flow through our class. So, you can take some time out to reconnect to yourself, to rest, and restore.
